The course emphasizes practical language use, where students will engage in short conversations using basic English structures and simple sentence patterns, read short adapted texts, and write phrases and short sentences suitable for daily interactions.

Grading
- The final grade is based on performance in three areas: products, observations and conversations.
- 70% of the grade is based on evaluations conducted throughout the course (conversations, participation, group activities, oral presentations, homework assignments, grammar quizzes, class tests and unit tests).
- 30% is based on a final evaluation (Midterm and Final test).
