This course provides students with the opportunity to develop essential skills, knowledge, and habits that are vital for navigating both education and career paths effectively. Students will explore global work trends and engage in activities within the school and community to strengthen their transferable skills and adaptability to the ever-evolving work environment.Through a process of exploration, reflective practice, and decision-making, students will align their skills, interests, and values with their postsecondary options, whether that involves apprenticeship training, college, community living, university, or entering the workplace directly. They will also set realistic goals and devise a detailed plan for their first postsecondary year.
An important component of this course is financial literacy; students will learn about personal financial management, including understanding various saving and borrowing tools and how to use them strategically. Additionally, they will develop a budget for their first year after secondary school, ensuring they are well-prepared for the financial aspects of postsecondary life.

Grading
- The final grade is based on performance in three areas: products, observations and conversations.
- 70% of the grade is based on evaluations conducted throughout the course (conversations, participation, group activities, oral presentations, homework assignments, grammar quizzes, class tests and unit tests).
- 30% is based on a final evaluation (Midterm and Final test).
